Qualifications:
In order to qualify, you must meet the general experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions; Security Clerical and Assistance Series, 0086. GENERAL EXPERIENCE FOR THE GS-0086-04:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of general experience. Examples of general experience is knowledge of body of standardized security rules, regulations, and directives to support and process a wide variety of standard personnel security actions, ID cards, vehicle permits, restricted area badges, or other forms of authorization; knowledge of procedures, forms, and information required to verify personal identification against authorization documents, issue badges, passes and vehicle permits, or forms authorize access; knowledge of one or more automated databases associated with a specific security operations and to produce a wide assortment of documents and reports; and knowledge of general clerical office procedures. Successfully completed 2 years above high school in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE:

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the mission, policies, processes, procedures, and customer service goals sufficient to perform the routine, procedural work of the Visitor Control Center, as well as knowledge of general office clerical functions. Knowledge of procedures, forms, and information required to verify against authorized documents, issue badges, passes, vehicle permits or other forms of authorization. Knowledge of one or more automated databases, (e.g. Microsoft Work, Microsoft Access) associated with a specific security function to recognize, locate, and insert data/information and produces a variety of documents and reports. Ability to plan and organize work, follow instructions, and accomplish multiple on-going projects. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, using a high degree of tact and diplomacy. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK
Experience:
Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
