SUPERVISORY TRAINING TECHNICIAN

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, for the GS-1702, Education and Training Technician Series. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE for Current Federal Employees:
One year of specialized experience for GS-1702-09 level positions which includes analyzing training requirements; planning for and developing training materials; evaluating training effectiveness; and solving problems related to training described with the position. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the GS-07 grade/level position or equivalent in the federal service. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE for External Candidates:
One year of specialized experience for GS-1702-09 level positions which includes analyzing training requirements; planning for and developing training materials; evaluating training effectiveness; and solving problems related to training described with the position. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the GS-08 grade/level position or equivalent in the federal service. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS INTERNAL APPLICANTS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS EXTERNAL APPLICANTS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-08 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of military and/or civilian training program processes or similar processes in parallel business and industry organizations in order to manage and oversee and comprehensive training program. 2. Knowledge of military organizational structure, protocol, and similar matter. 3.Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization. 4. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. 5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 6. Skill in the use of automation software and related equipment. 7. Ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK
Experience:
Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
